The boring plan that works
It tastes the same every time. On purpose.
I built these recipes three years ago and haven't changed them since. Same beans every week. Same roast every time. We taste test every single week, so the bag you reorder tastes exactly like the one you loved.

Lady Boss Blend
- Drip brewer: medium grind, fresh filter, and weigh your coffee. No scale? 2.1 oz is about 3/4 cup ground; 3.2 oz is about 1 cup.
- Pour-over: 20 g of coffee for 12 oz of water at 200°F. Wet the grounds, wait 45 seconds, then pour slowly.
- Too weak? Add a little more coffee. Too strong? Use a little less.
Lady Boss Espresso
- Flush the group head before and after every shot.
- Level the grounds in the basket, then tamp straight down with about 30 lbs of pressure. Even and flat is what matters.
- Sour or running fast? Grind finer. Bitter or slow? Grind coarser.
What a great shot looks like
- Layers: dark reddish-brown at the bottom, rising into a thick golden-brown crema.
- Crema: hazelnut-brown with darker tiger stripes, about 1/4 inch thick, holding for a minute or more.
- Pale, thin crema that fades fast? Running too quick. Grind finer.
- Dark, spotty crema or a white ring? Running too slow. Grind coarser.
Keep the bag sealed, away from light and heat, and grind right before you brew.
